Another perfect game for Lamar Jackson and other bold predictions for Week 11

The Baltimore Ravens take on the Houston Texans in what could very well be a preview of a future playoff matchup. With both teams in the thick of the AFC playoff picture this season, the winner of this Week 11 game is a pretty big deal.

Since this matchup features two of the best young quarterbacks in the game right now, most of the bold predictions coming from the Ravens Wire writers has to do with Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson. Take a look at the big and bold predictions we’ve got for Week 11 between the Texans and Ravens.

Matthew Stevens:

Lamar Jackson has another perfect game

Jackson has gotten far too much criticism for his passing ability through the early part of his career. And on two out of the nine games this season, Jackson has been statistically perfect. You’d think that would have shut the haters up but here we are in Week 11 and Jackson still has plenty of people continuing to doubt him. He does what no other quarterback in the history of the sport has done and that’s post his third perfect passer rating in a single season.

The Texans defense is suspect to the pass while relatively stout against the run. As the Texans play to their strengths to avoid getting gashed on the ground, Jackson makes them pay by routinely finding open receivers and shredding Houston’s secondary for chunks of yards. This one should be Jackson’s finest aerial performance of his young career to date.

Kevin Oestreicher:

Earl Thomas gets the first sack of his career

The Texans have great outside pass protectors in Laremy Tunsil and Tytus Howard. That means the Ravens are most likely going to have to dial up some safety blitzes and different looks to get to Deshaun Watson. Earl Thomas is still looking for the first sack of his career, but he’s been close to getting it a few times this season. In a game where Baltimore might use some more exotic blitz packages, I think this is the game Thomas finally breaks through

Chuck Mills:

Miles Boykin shines with 100 yards receiving and one touchdown

Boykin has flashed at points this season, most notably against Seattle where he had a 50-yard reception. But he hasn’t yet had the big performances fellow rookie Marquise Brown has had. That will change on Sunday when he turns into a formidable weapon for Lamar in a shootout against the Texans.

Neil Dutton:

Jackson tossed a trio of touchdown scores in the Ravens last match against the hapless Bengals. He’ll repeat the trick again this week against the Texans, becoming only the fourth Ravens quarterback with back-to-back three-touchdown games and the first since Kyle Boller in 2005.
