Another one: MSU lands 2nd commitment of day in DE Chris Mayfield

If you thought this would be a boring Sunday for Michigan State Football, you thought wrong.

The Spartans landed their 2nd commitment of the day in the form of Hilliard Bradley (Ohio) defensive end Chris Mayfield. Mayfield was among the many prospects on official visits in East Lansing this weekend.

Mayfield is a three-star recruit listed at 6’2 250 lbs.. He is listed by 24/7 Sports as the 1190th best player in the country and the 53rd best weak side defensive end prospect. He had a number of power 5 offers including Purdue, Boston College, Maryland, Iowa State, Louisville and Kentucky.

Mayfield makes ten for the class of 2020, with most of the commits coming in the last ten days. MSU’s class is now ranked 45th in the country and 9th in the Big Ten.
