Midfielder Ryan Yates is reportedly set to sign a new long-term contract with Nottingham Forest this week.
The Nigel Doughty Academy product only made his debut for the club last season, but has gone on to play a key part for the Reds.
He is highly regarded by head coach Sabri Lamouchi, though he has featured just four times under the Frenchman - largely due to injury.
According to the Telegraph, Yates is expected to put pen to paper on fresh terms later this week.
It comes on the back of Matty Cash agreeing a new three-and-a-half-year deal last week.
Yates had loan spells at Barrow, Shrewsbury Town, Notts County and Scunthorpe United before he made his breakthrough at the City Ground.
He was first given his chance in the Garibaldi in August 2018, against Bury in the Carabao Cup, but had to wait until the January for another runout.
He made 17 appearances in total last term, then underwent surgery in the summer after a long-standing knee problem had flared up when he reported for pre-season training.
The 22-year-old made his comeback in the 2-1 defeat to Hull City in October.
After being sent off in last month’s 0-0 draw at Bristol City, he will serve the last of a three-match suspension when Lamouchi’s men head to Millwall on Friday night.
