Another Nottingham city centre shop set to shut with closing down sale on

Another shop in Nottingham city centre is set to shut, and the store is running a closing down sale.

PerfectHome on Lower Parliament Street, sandwiched between Lloyds Bank and the recently opened Jollibee, has signs in the window to say the store is closing.

It's a retailer of home furniture and appliances.

There are no signs to say when exactly the shop will shut, but Google has listed the store as 'permanently closed' already.

It comes following recent announcements that two other city centre stores will soon close.

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) branch on South Parade will soon close as planning documents have been filed to remove the ATM and furniture from the building.

People have shared what they want to see take its place, with suggestions ranging from a clothes shop to it remaining a bank.

And Cash Outlet on Angel Row will cease trading after 10 years on May 31.

The pawnbroker has a sign in the window which says: "Please collect any buybacks and reserves prior to expiry of agreements and store closure.

"We thank our customers for using our company for the past 10 years."

Nottingham City Council recently secured £12.53 million from the 'Future High Streets Fund' to improve the area around Angel Row and Maid Marian Way.

Traders there recently spoke about what they hope the investment will bring to the area, such as more clothing stores and independent shops.
