Another newspaperman shot dead in Iraq

A senior member of staff at Iraq's government daily newspaper, Al-Sabah, was shot dead in Baghdad on Saturday. Abdel Karim Al-Roubai, was attacked while travelling in a car and a colleague who was with him, Ahmed Sami, was seriously wounded. The press watchdog, Reporters Without Borders, said that Roubai's brought to 104 the total of journalists and media assistants killed since the start of the war in Iraq in 2003.
