A report has appeared suggesting London-based Nothing is working on smart glasses.
The report comes from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg after people familiar with the matter detailed what to expect.
If you’re in the market for smart glasses, there is a very good chance you will have heard of Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses. There are others, but it’s Meta’s collaboration with the two eyewear brands that are most well known.
For now at least. Samsung has already confirmed it is working on smart glasses and Apple is rumoured to be working on a pair too, but they aren’t the only ones. London-based Nothing is also said to be considering a move into this market, adding to its smartphone and audio offerings.
What could Nothing's smart glasses offer?
The news comes from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg who has reported that people familiar with the matter have claimed the company is “working on artificial intelligence-enhanced smart glasses” and “planning to release the glasses during the first half of 2027”.
According to Gurman, “Nothing’s glasses – outfitted with cameras, microphones and speakers – will rely on smartphones and the cloud to handle AI processing. The idea is to help automate tasks and offer a more personalised experience.”

It’s also claimed that Nothing’s glasses will have a similar design aesthetic to its smartphones and audio products, which will no doubt be a relief to fans. Its smartphones stand out from the crowd with features like the Glyph Interface and quirky software, while the headphones deliver bold design statements.
The report comes off the back of Meta announcing new versions of its Ray-Ban glasses for those with prescriptions so its already a few steps ahead in this category. Still, there’s plenty of scope for something a little different and Nothing is definitely a brand that delivers on that front so this is one rumour we hope does become a reality.
The report also claims Nothing is working on new earbuds with AI-focused features but Gurman didn’t note a launch timeline for those.
