Another member of Jurgen Klopp's long-serving backroom staff set to leave Liverpool

Liverpool physiotherapist Richie Partridge is set to join the Qatar national team.

The ECHO understands the 39-year-old, who has worked at the club for nine years, is due to leave in March.

The Reds' medical department will undergo significant change in March with long-serving club doctor Andrew Massey also set to leave and join FIFA with Arsenal's head of medical services Gary O'Driscoll reportedly coming in to replace him.

Partridge spent eight years as a player at Liverpool during his late teens and early 20s before qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2009.

In the summer of 2016, he moved from the club's Academy set-up to Melwood and his role is to provide rehabilitation, manual therapy, injury prevention and medical pitchside assistance during training and on match days.
