Another Liverpool departure confirmed behind the scenes after Julian Ward and Ian Graham announcements

Liverpool have seen another departure from behind the scenes as Ed Rice has left his role as partnerships manager at Anfield.

Originally from Newport, Rice will join Glamorgan Cricket next month as the new head of commercial following his exit from Liverpool.

Rice's departure follows a host of departures from Liverpool after it was announced FSG have put the club up for sale with changes coming.

Michael Edwards left his role as sporting director in the summer, leaving Julian Ward to take over. It was announced in November that Edwards' successor would then be exiting Anfield.

Following Ward out of the door is director of research Ian Graham who started his role at Anfield in July 2012 and built one of the leading data science departments in the Premier League.

With FSG being put up for sale, director Mike Gordon has stepped back from his role at Liverpool. Gordon had struck up a strong relationship with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

Rice spoke of his new role : "As a proud Welshman, I’m honoured and thrilled to be appointed to lead the commercial operations at Glamorgan Cricket.

"It is an exciting time for the Club on and off the field and I look forward to developing a strategy to grow the profile of cricket in Wales and attract new audiences, which will ultimately open up further commercial opportunities for the club."
