Another game, another sack for Vikings all-world DE Danielle Hunter

Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter added onto his NFL record of sacks before 25 years old.

On Thursday night, Hunter sacked Redskins quarterback Case Keenum in the first half (forcing a fumble that the Vikings recovered), marking 48 career sacks before his 25th birthday. It will be Hunter’s last game before turning 25 with his birthday on Oct. 29.

What a run it’s been for Hunter. After finishing with 14.5 sacks last season, Hunter is already up to eight through eight games this season. He now has a sack in four-straight weeks and in seven of eight games this season.

With Hunter and Everson Griffen, it’s a pick your poison for opposing offensive lines. Griffen finished with a half sack in the game and has 4.5 sacks on the season.

The two entered the week ranked second and third, respectively, for most pressures generated.

Hunter will look to continue his sack streak in Week 8 against the Chiefs in Kansas City. It will either be Matt Moore, or a probably-not-100-percent-yet Patrick Mahomes at quarterback.
