A second WAG of a Brisbane Lions player has come forward with claims of a “disloyal incident”, just weeks after Lachie Neale’s marital strife forced him out of his co-captaincy.
Bronte Dagg, the former girlfriend of fellow Lions player Jack Payne, reportedly confirmed the end of her relationship with the defender via an Instagram message shared over the weekend.

Per The Daily Telegraph, Dagg claimed in the post that her romance with Payne broke down after she “learn[ed] of a profoundly disloyal incident”, adding that their relationship was “committed” with “clear long-term intentions”.
“The relationship was never ‘on and off’ or ‘casual’ by any means,” Dagg wrote.
“I’ve had time to reflect and can genuinely say I’ve moved forward and have thoroughly enjoyed the extra time with my friends and family, and will continue to do so,” she added.
Dagg’s post came after The Daily Telegraph reportedly heard from sources who claimed she “felt something was going wrong” when the Lions won the AFL Grand Final in September. The relationship reportedly ended the following month.

Earlier this month, Neale stepped down as co-captain of the Brisbane team during what he called a “challenging personal period”.
The Brownlow Medalist stopped short of giving specific details, but it came amid widespread reports regarding his marriage to Jules Neale, who claimed on social media that she was left feeling “betrayed in the most unimaginable way”.
That post came at around the same time as an alleged falling out Jules had with her former female friend.
Allegations of a cheating scandal involving Lachie and Jules’ friend arose as fans discovered Jules and the woman no longer appeared on each other’s social media feeds, with Jules reportedly wiping images of the former friend from her Instagram profile.

“I can confirm that Jules and I have separated. I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions which have hurt those closest to me,” Lachie said when announcing co-captain resignation.
“I accept that this is a consequence of my actions and I need to rebuild the trust with Jules,” he added. Lachie did not confirm or deny allegations of an affair or the involvement of Jules’ former friend.
Dagg and Payne are thought to have dated for around eight months throughout 2025.
