Another Covid-19 testing centre will open at Nottingham park and ride

Another coronavirus testing centre will be set up at the Forest Park and Ride in Nottingham.

A facility was in operation at the site for five days last month - and another is to be installed.

The tram operator NET Tweeted on Tuesday (October 20) afternoon: "From the 21st October a new Covid-19 local test site is being installed at the Forest Park and Ride.

"Installation will be completed by the 22nd October and open by the end of the week. An area will be cordoned off.

"The Park and Ride remains open with plenty of spaces available."

It comes after the leader of Nottingham City Council said he was "ready to fight" for the city in upcoming talks over possible new Covid restrictions.

As of Tuesday, 18,722 coronavirus cases had been recorded in total across the whole of Nottinghamshire since the start of the pandemic.
