Two new close-contact COVID-19 exposure locations have been identified in Canberra, including a childcare centre in Nicholls which had repeated and prolonged exposure to a positive case.
Bright Bees Early Learning Centre in Nicholls is one of the new and updated locations on ACT Health's list of exposure sites, with one other close-contact site recorded at Codamine Court in Turner.
A casual contact site has also been identified at the Pearce Community Centre, an NDIS provider, from 8:45am to 9:30am on Wednesday August 11.
The exposure at Bright Bees childcare centre spanned four days, from Tuesday, August 17 to Friday, August 20 between 8:00am to 5:00pm each day.
At public housing complex Condamine Court the exposure begun at 12:00am Sunday, August 15 and ended at 11:59pm on Thursday, August 19.
Anyone who visited the locations at these dates and times is advised to get tested for COVID-19 and immediately quarantine for 14 days.
There are currently a total of 376 COVID-19 exposure locations identified across the territory.
The ACT's COVID-19 cluster grew to 137 cases as of 8:00pm Sunday night, with seven cases unlinked to a close contact or exposure location.
Close contacts are advised to:
- complete the ACT Contact Declaration Form
- immediately quarantine
- get tested for COVID-19 as advised by ACT Health
- remain in quarantine until advised further by ACT Health, even if you get a negative test result.
