Shoe Zone in Dumbarton town centre has closed its doors for the final time.
The shoe shop recently shut down, with signs in the windows stating ‘we are sorry to say goodbye’ and signposting shoppers to its nearest store in Clydebank.
The premises was a prominent fixture on Dumbarton High Street.
Mystery surrounds the closure of the store. The Lennox Herald contacted Shoezone for a comment but we did not receive a response before we went to press.
One resident told the Lennox Herald it was a shame to see it close down.
He said: “I was sad to see the Shoezone shop has now closed in Dumbarton.
“ It must have been there for 20 years or so and was in quite a prime position in the high street.
“I hope it doesn’t stay closed for long. Hopefully we’ll see it pave the way for something new.”
