Another arrest following disorder at Pier Head after Liverpool FC's title win

A teenager was arrested after being wanted in connection with a serious public order incident in Liverpool City Centre.

It’s believed the arrest is related to the night of public disorder following celebrations for Liverpool's Premier League title win on Jun 27.

The 17-year-old youth was arrested on Chesterfield Drive in Tower Hill, Kirkby, on suspicion of affray f ollowing a police stop check in the area.

The arrested teenager remains in custody as officers continue to investigate.

A spokesman for Knowsley Police said: “Targeted officers patrolling the Tower Hill area last night have arrested a 17-year-old male on Suspicion of Affray following a stop check on Chesterfield Drive.

“The detained male is currently wanted in connection wpier ith a serious public order incident that occurred on Victoria Street, Liverpool City Centre during the 27th of June this year.

“The arrested male remains in custody at this time as officers continue to investigate.”
