Another army officer lays charge against Sereepisuth

A senior army officer on Wednesday filed a complaint against Pol Gen Sereepisuth Temeeyaves, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, for allegedly insulting him while he was performing his duty in Prachin Buri province.

Lt Col Pakit Phonfak, commander of the Prachin Buri maintaining peace and order company, filed his complaint at Muang police station in the eastern border province. .

The officer was accompanied by Maj Gen Chaiwat Boonthamcharoen, commander of the 12th Army Circle  and member of the judge advocate's staff.

According to the complaint, Pol Gen Sereepisuth insulted Lt Col Pakit with improper language while he was on duty maintaining peace and order in the area where the Seri Ruam Thai leader was campaigning in Muang district in support of his party's candidate on March 4. 

A video clip of the incident went viral after it was posted on social media.

On Tuesday, army chief Apirat Kongsomong assigned staff to file a defamation complaint against Pol Gen Sereepisuth for comments he made about the military decorations on his uniform.
