A portion of Arizona Cardinals fans have been pleading for years for new uniforms for the team. Owner Michael Bidwill said it is “on the horizon” but that didn’t make it seem like it is coming anytime soon.
These fans notice when other teams change up their threads.
Earlier in the offseason, the Atlanta Falcons, whom the Cardinals face this coming season, announced they would have a red alternate helmet.
The New Orleans Saints, another of the Cardinals’ opponents in 2022, have also announced an alternate helmet. In addition to their gold helmets, they will use black helmets for select games this coming season.
The Cardinals have always used a white helmet. Many would love to see a black or a red alternate.
It seems unlikely to happen any time soon, so fans can long for new threads or a new helmet more as they see two of their opponents change things up this coming season.
