Another 17 cornavirus cases traced across Leeds in 24 hours

17 new cases of coronavirus have been discovered in Leeds over the past 24 hours.

It takes the total number of confirmed cases in Leeds since the start of the pandemic to 4,159.

Across Yorkshire, a total of 100 new cases were identified.

The figures, published by Public Health England on Wednesday evening, shows Leeds had the second most cases after Bradford (29).

The total for the region now stands at 33,565.

The data was published hours after it was revealed three people died with the virus at Yorkshire hospitals on Monday.

Two were in Bradford and one was in Sheffield.

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yorkshire:

  • Barnsley - was 2,093 now 2,095
  • Bradford - was 5,784 now 5,813
  • Calderdale - was 1,084 now 1,093
  • Doncaster - was 2,058 now 2,059
  • East Yorkshire - was 1,675 now 1,676
  • Hull - remains 1,599
  • Kirklees - was 2,796 now 2,811
  • Leeds - was 4,142 now 4,159
  • North Yorkshire - was 2,659 now 2,664
  • Rotherham- was 2,142 now 2,143
  • Sheffield - was 4,519 now 4,533
  • Wakefield - was 2,012 now 2,017
  • York - was 942 now 943
