'Announce real team' - Chelsea fans shocked by Frank Lampard's line up against Spurs

Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon and Frank Lampard has certainly sprung something of a surprise.

The Blues boss has reverted to three at the back, with Antonio Rudiger, Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma being the defensive options.

However, the big shock was Marcos Alonso returning to the starting XI, playing at left wing-back and with Cesar Azpilicueta on the other flank.

Alonso hasn't played since the beginning of November, which was the 4-4 Champions League draw with Ajax.

It also means that Jorginho is on the bench, with N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic being in the heart of the midfield.

Another shock was that Mason Mount started the game, which saw Christian Pulisic dropped to the bench for the match.

It's fair to say, the decision did not go down particularly well with Chelsea supporters on social media.

The last time that Alonso played he was substituted at half-time, however he has a decent record against Spurs.

Two seasons ago he netted a brace against the Lilywhites at Wembley to secure a win under Antonio Conte.

Lampard will be hoping that for the same once again this afternoon.
