'Announce new contract!' - Excited Arsenal fans react to Bukayo Saka's cryptic social media hint

Arsenal supporters have taken to social media after Bukayo Saka posted a cryptic hint on Twitter over the weekend.

The 18-year-old has been a regular for the Gunners this season, racking up 30 appearances across all competitions, but his future at the Emirates Stadium is far from certain,

As revealed by football.london last week, Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are one of several clubs interested in luring the teenager away from north London.

Furthermore, according to our friends at the Daily Mirror, Dortmund are on the verge of selling Jadon Sancho back to the Premier League in a £100m deal that would see Man United win the race for the England international's signature.

And that could be bad news for Arsenal.

As a result of sellng Sancho, he would need to be replaced at the Signal Iduna Park and that is where Saka's name is being touted despite the fact he's been used at left-back under Mikel Arteta.

But has Saka hinted at committing his future to the Gunners?

Well, he added further speculation to his future by posting a cryptic video on Twitter on Sunday evening, which features highlights of his performances and best bits this season.

As well as the video, Saka also posted a very short caption, which consisted of two emojis; an egg timer and a football.

This prompted a massive response from Arsenal fans.

Take a look at some of the best responses on the social media platform.

As revealed by football.london, no talks have taken place between Saka’s representatives and the club hierarchy since February.

Arsenal have not been able to tie Saka to fresh terms since he signed his first professional contract, understood to be worth around £7,000-a-week,

However, the good news is that the north London outfit are desperate to keep Saka and would be prepared to offer him a significant pay rise.
