'Announce Ljungberg' - Arsenal fans make Unai Emery demand after social media message

It has been a disappointing start to the season for Arsenal and boos rang out from the Emirates Stadium as the referee blew the full time whistle on the 2-2 draw with Southampton on Saturday.

Alexandre Lacazette's last gasp equaliser wasn't enough to ease the pressure on Gunners' boss Unai Emery, as Arsenal went six games in all competitions without a win. They last tasted victory in a 3-2 defeat of Vitoria in the Champions League last month.

Both results and performances has seen discontent at the Emirates grow, with many Arsenal fans now wanting to see a change of manager ahead of the Europa League game vs Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, it seems that the club are keeping faith in Emery for now.

Should the hierarchy decide to make a change, names such as Mikel Arteta and former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino have been linked to the role.

But, while they decide on a replacement, it is likely that a current member of the coaching staff would take the reigns, at least on a temporary basis.

Club legend Freddie Ljungberg has been promoted to first team duties this season, and some fans think they've spotted a social media hint from the club that he could be stepping up his responsibility.

While others used the opportunity to make one request to the club.

Take a look at what they had to say below.

Ljungberg made 326 appearances for Arsenal in a nine year spell with the club
