'Announce Karamoko Dembele as Celtic player-manager' best reactions to 16-year-old's thrilling debut

Karamoko Dembele was given the big build-up ahead of his Celtic debut and he certainly lived up to the hype against Hearts.

The 16-year-old was handed 45 minutes by Neil Lennon as he replaced the misfiring Oliver Burke and his dazzling skills changed the tempo of an otherwise uneventful game.

But the academy star had something special in store for the Hoops faithful and made an instant impact with the senior team.

Celtic earned a 2-1 win over the Jambos thanks to a double from Mikey Johnston.

The diminutive attacker was finding joy down the right wing and came close on several occasions - including a stunning solo run but failed to find the finishing touch.

Celtic supporters were left impressed with Dembele 's display and hope there's more to come next season and beyond.

Here's the best of the reaction on social media.
