'Announce Havertz now!' - Excited Chelsea fans send transfer message to Marina Granovskaia

Chelsea have secured Champions League football for the 2020/21 season and now fans have one particular demand.

Heading into the game with Wolves on the final day of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign knowing a draw would have been enough to seal another top-four finish, the Blues beat Wolves 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Mason Mount settled the nerves shortly before half-time with a brilliant free-kick and Olivier Giroud's sheer persistence doubled the lead moments later to give the hosts breathing space.

Willy Caballero in goal instead of Kepa Arrizabalaga - managed to keep a clean sheet in the second half, so that coupled with Manchester United's win over Leicester City confirmed a top-four finish for Frank Lampard's side.

And with that, attentions have turned to what business Chelsea will do in the summer transfer window.

If reports are to be believed, Champions League qualification was key to sealing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Kai Havertz.

German publication Bild, via the Metro, claimed last month that Havertz is open to the idea of sealing a move to Stamford Bridge, but only as long as they have secured Champions League football for next season.

And according to the Athletic, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is close to working her transfer magic once again by securing a deal for Havertz at a lower price than many would have expected.

As expected, just moments after the final whistle blew at Stamford Bridge, many Chelsea fans rushed to social media to send a transfer message to Granovskaia.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter...

Bild, via the Express have revealed that Granovskaia has been in regular dialogue with Leverkusen in recent weeks about how the Blues could possibly cut the price of any potential deal.

In addition, it's claimed Granovskaia has been frequently talking to Leverkusen, attempting to lower the price of a deal to sign the midfielder.

However, Leverkusen are reportedly not willing to budge on their £90million asking price.
