'Announce Haaland and Kounde!' - Chelsea fans decide next two deals after signing is confirmed

Chelsea have announced their first signing of the summer transfer window, but some fans are already looking towards further deals.

On Wednesday afternoon, it was confirmed that goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has joined the club on a free transfer after leaving London rivals Fulham last month.

The 29-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Stamford Bridge and will take over from Willy Caballero as the third-choice stopper, whilst keeping Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga on their toes.

Furthermore, Bettinelli has become Thomas Tuchel's first signing since being appointed Chelsea head coach in January and the keeper is very happy about realising a dream of his.

"It’s always been a special club. I know the area very well so it’s been a dream of mine to come over to this side and it’s finally happened," he told the club's official website.

"There were some talks a few years ago when I was a bit younger and for whatever reason that didn’t come about but I’m here now.

"I’m really excited to be involved and looking forward to trying to impress and help the team as much as I can."

Whilst Bettinelli settles into his new surroundings, some Chelsea fans have taken to social media and sent a message to club director Marina Granovskaia about what deals to get done next.

Amid links to the likes of Saul Niguez, Declan Rice, Erling Haaland and Jules Kounde, a few of the replies to the Bettinelli announcement post shows who some Blues supporters want to see join the club this summer.
