'Announce Coutinho!' - Arsenal fans think they know why Raul Sanllehi was at the Barcelona game

Arsenal's pre-season friendly against Barcelona may have ended in defeat, but Arsenal's supporters are hoping that a victory may be coming their way off the field.

Unai Emery took his squad to the Nou Camp for the Joan Gamper Trophy, but the playing staff weren't the only Gunners in attendance.

Sporting Director, Raul Sanllehi was also spotted at at the match alongside Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Sanllehi is well known around the Nou Camp having spent several years with the club's hierarchy, and it's possible that those relationships could come in handy in the final days of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have been linked with loan moves for both Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti.

While it remains to be seen whether a move for either play will materialise before Thursday's deadline, Arsenal's fans have been quick to take to social media with their theories over Sanllehi's reasons for being at the Nou Camp.

Here's what supporters have had to say.
