A new Scottish television crime drama has donated shoes, boots and clothes from its wardrobe to a Shelter Scotland charity shop in Glasgow.

Annika , a six part series for crime drama channel Alibi, stars Olivier award winner Nicola Walker from The Split and Unforgotten as DI Annika Strandhed who solves murders on Scotland’s waterways.

The donations to the charity's Glasgow Botanics shop many of which are new with tags, are brands Doc Martens, Lucy & Yak, Jisgaw, Clarks Artisan Shoes and North Face.

Shelter Scotland’s Botanics Community Charity Shop Manager, Jacqueline Mead, said: “I’m actually a huge fan of the story which I loved when it was a Radio 4 drama, so it was especially exciting when the production company came along to say they had all these items they would like to donate.

“It’s only with the generosity of people donating and shopping with us that Shelter Scotland is able to fight Scotland’s housing emergency and provide advice and support to people facing homelessness or living in bad housing. We are so grateful.”

Shelter Scotland’s charity shops are opening on Monday, April 26 with covid-safe measures in place.
