Annie's Burger Shack re-opens for takeaway in Nottingham

Foodies will soon be able to get their chops around some of Nottingham's most indulgent fast food offerings as Annie's Burger Shack prepares to re-open.

The legendary Nottingham burger joint, famed for its bonkers but delicious combos including The Boston Nibbler (double or single burgers topped with Swiss and Cheddar cheese slices, two beer battered onion rings, grilled pineapple, two bacon rashers and tangy American burger sauce) and The Elvis (a half-pound burger smothered with peanut butter and raspberry jam), will soon resume its call and collect service.

It will officially start on Thursday, May 21 for breakfast, brunch and dinner takeaways.

Following the relaunch it will then run Wednesday to Sunday each week.

A full breakfast menu will be served from 10am-2pm with options including The Lumberjack (three eggs any style, three slices of bacon bacon, a 4oz sausage patty, three buttermilk pancakes, and home fries or hash browns), Seattle Smoked Salmon Benedict (smoked salmon on a grilled English muffin, topped with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce, served with home fries or hash browns) and Wagon Train Scrambler (Annie’s own corned beef hash, two eggs any style, served with warm buttered toast).

A selection of Annie’s best burgers, sides and drinks will then be available from 5pm-9pm.

As always, all menu items can be served in meaty, veggie or vegan versions.

Social distancing and additional safety and hygiene measures will be put in place with more details to follow.

The announcement was met with glee on the restaurants official Facebook page with nearly 100 'like' and comments including "Thank god because my version of Annie's is not cutting it" and "Get it in the diary..... something to look forward to."
