Anneka Rice shares painful extent of injuries Strictly stars receive

Anneka Rice has revealed the true extent of injuries that stars taking part in Strictly Come Dancing suffer.

The TV presenter, 61, was sadly booted off Strictly Come Dancing on week two of the popular BBC dancing competition.

Throughout her time on the show, the star showed off her horrific bruising after gruelling rehearsals with her Strictly professional dancer Kevin Clifton.

The pair earned just 11 points of out a possible 14 for their movie week Kill Bill-themed Charleston, and eventually lost in a dance-off to ex-England goalkeeper David James and his partner Nadiya Bychkova.

The star exclusively told Mirror Online that she is still receiving physio.

Speaking at the Pride of Britain Awards, she said: "Well i’m still recovering in physio.

"We all get so many injuries but it is an amazing experience and I absolutely loved it!"

Anneka previously displayed her bruises in a clip shared on social media. She told followers: "There's bruises in places I barely knew I had places."

The former Strictly sensation also opened up about the controversy of which celebrity gets voted off each week.

The show and judges have recently faced harsh backlash, after Shirley Ballas was bombarded with death threats following the departure of Dev Griffin and Dianne Buswell.

Anneka said: "I think every week is controversial who you want to stay on it. It’s the nature of it and just the way it is."

She also spoke about her close relationship with the rest of the Strictly cast, despite being eliminated from the show so early on (PA)
