Anneka Rice says she found flasher exposing himself to her in 80s 'charming'

Anneka Rice has revealed that she was targeted by a flasher in the 80s.

The TV star, 62, explained how she was walking along the riverbank when a man jumped out at her and 'fumbled around down there' - but she was not offended by the act but found it "charming."

The Treasure Hunt legend shared that then the man was shocked to look up and see it was her famous face he was flashing at and ran off - which led to her shouting an apology, even though he was being indecent.

Speaking on the Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast, Anneka recalled: "I once got flashed on the riverbank.

"This man flashed me - this was quite a couple of decades ago in the 80s - and he flashed me and was fumbling around down there flashing me."

She told the Mirror in 2020: “In my teens I was so invisible to my parents I reckoned the only way to get noticed was if I was sent to prison.

“I used to shoplift in a desperate attempt to be caught. I was stuffing bras – I am talking size 46 – into my school rucksack.

"I was trying to catch the eye of the assistants and they did not notice! Eventually, in Jean Machine, Croydon, I got caught.

"This was my chance to be taken home in a police car. I felt this amazing rush like ‘Look at me.’

“Was this my first taste of fame? I gave the acting performance of my life to the Surrey Constabulary," she joked.
