A 'savage' insult from Anne Hegerty on The Chase prompted quite a reaction from ITV viewers.
In an episode broadcast last night (Wednesday, July 3), the star of I'm A Celebrity... Get Met Out Of Here! failed to catch the third player when the comment happened.
"Ah yes, this is the team of lookalikes," she said, a seemingly innocent comment from the 60-year-old at first.
But she then expanded her remarks with specific comparisons, reports Liverpool Echo.
Going down the line she said the first chair, Damian looked like Dustin Hoffman, and the third chair, Richard, from Wales looked like "Shrek".
Fans of the award-winning ITV gameshow were surprised by her attack which followed her lower offer of just £2.
One tweeted: "that was a tad harsh."
Another said: "Absolute savage from Anne."
A third said: "I can’t believe Anne just called him Shrek that’s harsh and rude you all would be in uproar if rolls were reversed."
A fourth added: "Anne firing shots."
Richard, 39, managed to get back to the final chase with Damian and Pam to play for £11,000.
The three teammates scored a respectable 19, with four successful push backs, making it impossible for the chaser to catch them.
They won, splitting the money and Richard said he was going to "blow it all in Vegas".
