Fans have drawn comparisons between Hayes and former One Direction member Harry Styles, but author Robinne Lee clarified that Hayes was not specifically inspired by Styles.
In an interview, lead actor Nicholas Galitzine expressed his excitement about the movie's portrayal of female pleasure and the unconventional age gap love story between Solène and Hayes. 'The Idea of You' is set to premiere on May 2 via Prime Video, following its debut at South by Southwest (SXSW) on March 16.
