Annapurna Yojana Status Check: How to verify your name on the beneficiary list for Rs 3,000 monthly DBT in West Bengal and what to do if your name is missing?

Annapurna Yojana Portal: West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday said the first tranche of funds under the Annapurna Yojana, a financial assistance scheme for women, was transferred to nearly 1.1 crore beneficiaries. Amid this, the Annapurna Yojana status check has become a key concern for thousands of women in West Bengal as the state government has started transferring ₹3,000 directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.

How to check your name on the Annapurna Yojana beneficiary list

The Annapurna Yojana was introduced by the BJP government to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 to eligible women, replacing the ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ programme of the previous TMC regime. Women who have applied under the scheme can follow these steps to check their status:

Step 1: Visit the official portal

Go to the official Annapurna Yojana or state welfare scheme website

Step 2: Open the status check section

Look for options such as "Beneficiary List", "Application Status" or "Status Check".

Step 3: Enter your details

You may need to provide:

Aadhaar number

Registered mobile number

Application or registration number

District and block information

Step 4: Submit and view status

After entering the required details, your beneficiary status will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Verify bank account information

Ensure your Aadhaar-linked bank account details are correct to receive the ₹3,000 monthly payment.

What Is Annapurna Yojana?

The Annapurna Bhandar Scheme is a financial assistance programme launched by the West Bengal government to provide monthly support to eligible women. Under the initiative, beneficiaries receive ₹3,000 every month through Direct Benefit Transfer, helping improve financial security and support household expenses.

₹3,000 Monthly DBT Being Credited to Eligible Beneficiaries

26 lakh applicants rejected

Suvendu Adhikari also said 1.6 crore applications were received for the scheme, and 26 lakh of them were rejected on grounds of doubts over citizenship and domicile status.

Speaking at the official launch of the scheme at Netaji Indoor Stadium here, he said, “Twenty-six lakh applications under the Annapurna Yojana have been rejected. Scrutiny is necessary." "We cannot transfer taxpayers' money from the government coffers to non-Indians," Adhikari said, while justifying the rejection of 26 lakh Annapurna Yojana applications.
