Annan Rugby Club hold Highland Games and family fun day

Annan Rugby

Annan Rugby Club’s Highland Games and Family Fun Day was a big success on Saturday.

The P1-P7 games kicked off at Violetbank at 11.30am, while the U13+/men and U13+/women started at 1pm.

In addition to the whole team tug of war, each member had to compete in one event: shot put, 100m sprint, caber toss, tractor pull, Highland dancing and steeplechase.

Spectators who turned up had a great time with plenty on offer for people of all ages including kids games, a play park, bar, BBQ and more.

Thanks go to participants, volunteers and spectators and a special thanks to The Anglers, Annan, for their very generous food donation and to Atwals Home Essentials for the amazing donation of juice, crisps and fruit for kids in the junior games.
