Anna Wintour & Miranda Priestly Have Officially Met In What Appears To Be A Motherquake

Gird your loins and snatch those dreadful Labubus off your totes, ‘cos *the* Miranda Priestly has officially met the one and only Anna Wintour in what can only be described as a MOTHER convention.

While one half of the internet is buzzing over the highly-anticipated nuptials of Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, the fashion girlies have their eye on Milan Fashion Week, which kicked off on September 23.

But alongside the couture, silks and gowns, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci surprised fashionistas by appearing at Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway show as Miranda Priestly and Nigel Kipling from the beloved 2000s flick, The Devil Wears Prada.

According to Vogue, which shared videos of the two fashion divas sitting front row, the pair were also accompanied by Bridgerton‘s Simone Ashley, who’s set to appear in The Devil Wears Prada 2.

But in a more iconic move, it appears that Priestly was sitting right across from former editor-in-chief of Vogue US, Anna Wintour.

Shortly after the iconic appearance, footage of the pair finally meeting backstage surfaced on social media, breaking the fashion side of the internet.

For folks who are not in the know, it’s been speculated that Priestly — the cold, cutthroat, cvnty editor of fashion mag Runway — was based on Wintour and how she ran Vogue.

So, this meeting is honestly like two divas aligning for a joint fashion slay.

The meeting comes shortly after Wintour revealed her thoughts about The Devil Wears Prada. In 2025, the fashion head told The Run-Through with Vogue podcast she thought the movie had “a lot of humour”.

“Listen, it had a lot of humour to it. It had a lot of wit,” Wintour dished.

“And I, in the end, thought it was a fair shot.”

Wintour went on to praise Steep and Emily Blunt‘s performance within the film, before adding that Priestly was a “caricature”.

“But first of all, it was Meryl Streep which [is] fantastic … and then I went to see the film, and I found it highly enjoyable and very funny,” Wintour continued.

Look, I don’t know who’s in charge of marketing for this upcoming sequel, but whoever it is, they deserve a bloody raise!

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is slated to be released May 1, 2026 and will see the return of your faves, including Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, Steep as Miranda Priestly, Emily as Emily and Stanley as Nigel.

We can also expect to see some new faces, including Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet.
