Anna Richardson hunts ‘handsome’ partner on Strictly Come Dancing after Sue Perkins split

Single Anna Richardson is desperate to get the Strictly Come Dancing call - and wants someone good looking to help take her mind off things.

The Naked Attraction host and partner Sue Perkins split last month, shocking the showbiz world.

The TV pair called time on their seven-year relationship after things broke down over when they should have children.

Anna is now looking at what's ahead - and her future could be all about the dancefloor.

The 50-year-old is ready for Strictly and is expected to sign up for the BBC show, which gets underway next month.

Having turned down I’m A Celebrity and Dancing On Ice, she clearly has her heart set on Glitterball.

She wants someone easy on the eye to work with, if she does get the chance.

“I think Strictly as a whole is a different ball game because you’re learning, you’re doing a skill and I think that would be an incredible opportunity," she told The Sun.

“It would be an opportunity. Being paired with somebody like Gorka (Marquez) would be amazing.

“You want someone you can have a really good laugh with and who is handsome.”

She knows who she can call on for some advice.

She is working with former head judge Len Goodman on C4’s Can I Improve My Memory?, which airs tomorrow night.

Anna's split from Sue came as a shock to many but It has been claimed that they had been living apart since the Autumn.

"The only time they see each other now is when they hand the dog over to each other." a source has told MailOnline.

The TV favourite is working through her break-up with Sue Perkins (PA)

"They haven't spent much together in recent months, they've been living separate lives with Anna staying in Staffordshire and Sue remaining in London.

"'It's really sad they've split, but it's been on the cards for a while - Anna was really keen to be a mother, but Sue just didn't feel it was the right time for her."

Another source also supported the rumour that the TV couple split up some time before the news was reported, telling Mirror Online they did not spend Christmas or New Year's together.

*Can I Improve My Memory has all episodes streaming on All 4 or the next episode airs on Thursday on Channel 4
