There was a front-page story recently about alleged naughty goings-on in Lumpini Park. Heaven forbid. There was even mention of an "orgy", although that sounded more like wishful thinking.
Officials initially reacted with the traditional, "it couldn't happen here" defence, citing the squeaky clean reputation of Bangkok. However, they have since taken the precautionary move of ordering extra park patrols "just in case" something dodgy might be going on.
