A number of animals have gone missing from Yarralumla Play Station.

A post on its Facebook page said several people had been spotted climbing the fence into the property on Thursday, August 27 between 8.15pm and 8.50pm.

It says four piglets, two fully grown turkeys, two Frizzle chickens and one Polish chicken were stolen.

Yarralumla Play Station is concerned for the welfare of these animals.

"Of most concern is the piglets as they were not ready to be removed from their mother and would need bottle feeding to survive," the Facebook post said.

"I also hatched the chickens from eggs on my kitchen bench and raised them before bringing them into the farm. All our animals are more than just farm animals to us and we would dearly love to have them all back."

Yarralumla Play Station has urged anyone with information about the alleged theft to contact it, or call ACT Policing on 131 444.
