Animal rescue centre in Lanarkshire seeks good homes after cattery reaches its full capacity

The Scottish SPCA is looking for loving homes for cats in the care of their Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

The centre’s cattery is currently at full capacity and Peter Fleming, manager of the SSPCA charity’s animal welfare centre, said: “Some of the cats in our care need quite specific homes, such as Kitty Minaj who needs to be rehomed with her companion, Queen Latifah.

“They didn’t have a great start to life and therefore don’t trust humans. Despite the hard work of our team, the pair still have not come out of their shells. This duo will need a quiet home with an experienced owner who can dedicate time and patience to building their confidence.

“Shepard and Burke are another pair that need to be housed together.

“They are shy guys and like to do things in their own time. Each day their confidence is growing but they will need a knowledgeable owner who can continue to teach them the world is not such a bad place. With the right owners, we think they will make great pets.

“We are desperate to find new homes for all of the cats in our care so we can make room for others in need of our help.”

Anyone interested in giving any of the cats a home should contact the SSPCA’s centre in Lanarkshire on 03000 999 999
