Are you on the hunt for a new job and would love if it meant you could work with animals?
The Scottish SPCA are on the hunt for an animal care assistant and a temporary care assistant to work at their centre in Balerno.
It will be up to the new care assistants to provide a "caring and safe environment for all the animals", as well as dealing with the public.
The hands-on job would require you to help with treatments, medications, births, food preparation, grooming, exercise and the general care of the animals at the centre.
But it would also be part of your role to help them find a loving forever home by carrying out home checks with potential owners and and promoting the SSPCA to the public.
While a relevant animal care qualification is desirable it is not essential. However you will need to have practical experience working with animals and the public, IT skills and a driving licence.
The working hours will be 8:30am-4:45pm, working 10 days out of 14 on a rota basis. You can apply on the SSPCA website here - applications close Tuesday 6 August.
The SSPCA are the only animal charity in the UK recognised as a reporting agency to the Crown Office and care for all animals - domestic, farm and wildlife.
