Animal charity demands 'justice' as defenceless pony dies after being savagely beaten

Animal charity volunteers were left heartbroken after depraved thugs beat a defenceless young pony to death in West Dublin on Monday

And the group is now demanding those behind the evil crime are brought to justice.

My Lovely Horse Rescue  has urged people to come forward with information after the badly beaten and abused pony they found in West Dublin sadly died of its horrific injuries, Dublin Live reports.

The three-year-old pony named Jenna was discovered by the charity and taken in with "lumps all over her body" and "her face swollen".

The poor animal was rescued by MLHR and brought to their farm but she sadly succumbed to her horrific injuries on Monday morning.

MLHR have said a number of people have come forward claiming to have seen Jenna being beaten on multiple occasions in the Lucan and Clondalkin areas over the past two weeks.

They are appealing for anyone with information to come forward so that her sick abusers can be brought to justice.

"We want someone held accountable for this," they said.

"Gardai are going through CCTV. Witnesses have come forward, they’ve seen Jenna being beaten in the past two weeks.

"We want prosecutions, we want justice... This innocent pony was only three years old, she knew nothing but cruelty until her very last day."
