Animal census to start in Visakhapatnam from October 8

VISAKHAPATNAM: Animal census in the Visakha forest area will start on October 8. The exercise is to count the population of animals including lions, tigers, and leopards.

The last census was conducted four years ago with a manual system.

Now , the forest staff would take the help of technology by registering the number of animals at field through an App.

More than 140 staff would be involved in the counting of tigers in Narsipatnam division.
