Angus Kinnear takes aim at Sky Sports and EFL in Leeds United promotion dig

Sky Sports and EFL have provided even more motivation for Leeds United to get back at them and secure promotion, according to chief executive Angus Kinnear.

Writing in his programme notes ahead of Thursday afternoon’s clash with Barnsley, Kinnear took aim at Sky and EFL, two bodies United fans have not been shy in criticising in the past.

He wrote: “Sky Sports seeming to pipe ‘Leeds are falling apart again’ over the broadcast feed (which I have no doubt will be reciprocated when crowds return) and a fixture list which has contrived to repeatedly force us to play after our immediate rivals (a challenge the squad has chosen to embrace) will provide even more motivation to reach our goal.

“It will make getting there taste even sweeter.”

The Whites face Barnsley with the opportunity to stretch their gap to third back out to six points, with only six points available to Brentford.
