'Angry' Wilfried Zaha admits Crystal Palace were 'terrible' in loss to arch rivals Brighton

Wilfried Zaha has admitted that Crystal Palace were 'terrible' in their 3-1 defeat to ten-man Brighton and Hove Albion, a loss which saw their arch rivals pull nine points ahead.

The Eagles' star man was held goalless in another toothless attacking display from Palace, with only Huddersfield Town having scored fewer goals this season than Roy Hodgson's side.

Even after Shane Duffy's early dismissal, Palace laboured against an Albion side that didn't need to play particularly well in order to go 3-0 up by half-time and it was a performance that Zaha did not mince his words about when analysing.

"Yesterday was terrible from the team," he said.

"Just no where [sic] near good enough especially considering we know how much that game meant to everyone.

"I am angry about the result but all I can do is look forward and make sure I am better."

Fan anger at the blunt attacking play of Hodgson's team has risen in recent weeks, but the veteran coach had few answers when asked about Palace's poor display in Sussex on Tuesday.

"There is nothing positive I can say at all," he offered.
