Tipping Point viewers raged on Tuesday's show as Ben Shephard asked players Nicky and Karen an army-related question.
The two women dithered on the question and admitted they had no idea what the answer was, with many viewers taking to Twitter to share their frustration.
Some even accused the two contestants of not caring about fallen soldiers as they did not have knowledge of army medals.
Ben asked Nicky: "What is the highest decoration for valour in the British army awarded for extreme bravery in the face of the enemy?
"You can play this or you can pass to Karen."
Nicky replied: "I really haven't an idea of an answer so I am going to pass."
Karen laughed: "I don't have an idea either but I am trying to think of the name of any medal, and I can't so...
"The valour medal?" she guessed.
Ben replied: "The valour medal? Some sort of medal, you've got to give me something, Nicky could you give me any medals?"
Nicky said: "Honestly no, not my strong point."
"You're going to kick yourself when you hear it, it's the Victoria Cross," said Ben, with no recognition on the faces of Karen or Nicky.
Their lack of military knowledge infuriated viewers as one tweeted: "Oh my lord, I thought at least Karen would of known that bloody question. The Valour medal #TippingPoint ".
"What the f**k is the “Valour Medal”? You absolute wazzocks.... #tippingpoint " ranted another.
"As thick as a whale omelette. #tippingpoint The valour medal" added another.
One more declared: "All those men who died and were awarded the Victoria Cross are now thinking, what was the f**king point #tippingpoint ".
"Victoria Cross you dingbats!! #TippingPoint " added another.
