Angry Strictly fans think Maisie was 'robbed' as she fails to score full marks

Strictly Come Dancing fans were wowed by EastEnders star Maisie Smith's latest routine in the dance contest.

Nineteen-year-old Maisie performed an energetic jive to Little Shop Of Horrors with professional dance partner Gorka Marquez.

However her supporters watching at home were amazed when she failed to receive a full 30 marks for the dazzling performance.

Only head judge Shirley Ballas awarded her a 10 and she got nines from Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood.

"What does she have to do to get 30?" asked one viewer on Twitter.

"Judges bring up how complex the choreo is and how well she danced it, but still only give her 9? yet the slowest charleston ever is worthy of a 7!"

"Honestly...only one 10?" asked another.

"Definitely worth 30 I don’t agree with Motsi and Craig. That’s the best dance I’ve ever seen," said another.

Another tweeted: "Can’t believe the judges say they smashed it but only Shirley gave a 10! It was amazing and deserved so much more!"

"This should have been full marks: last week a 30 was given to someone who made way more technical mistakes and didn’t have as much of a difficulty level," said another.

"What a shame, I thought this was fantastic!! So complex and high energy and character driven throughout."

"Nahhhh they were robbed that deserved a 30!!" exclaimed another viewer.

Another cried: "Justice for Maisie, should have been a clear 30/30."

Fans are saying a future in the West End may be calling for Maisie, who plays Tiffany Butcher Baker in EastEnders.

"Surely a West End starring role is in her future. FABULOUS!!!" cried another fan.

Early on in the series there was a shock when Maisie Smith ended up in the bottom two of the contest and her supporters rushed to defend her.

Fans of the show clapped back at some negative online comments that Maisie might have faced the dance off because she was 'too confident', saying viewers are clearly mistaking her enthusiasm and assuredness on the dancefloor for 'cockiness.'
