'Angry scenes' in Nottingham Forest dressing room paid off - report

Nottingham Forest players reportedly had to be pulled apart during the disastrous 4-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday last month.

The Athletic say there were 'angry scenes' in the Reds dressing room at both half-time and after the final whistle with all four goals coming in the first half.

It is reported that some players had to be kept apart as tensions spilled over with Forest putting in a desperate performance.

Such confrontations are far from unheard of in football and since then Sabri Lamouchi's side have improved markedly, winning their last three Championship games after the 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Defender Jack Robinson recently spoke about the unity and depth that exists in the camp as fourth placed Forest look to end their 20-year exile from the Premier League.

"There's no bad eggs in this squad," he said. "It's good to have that competition if you want to go up because if you look at the injuries we have had, like with Daws (Michael Dawson), you do need people to step in.

"It's important to have people who are ready to step in and can do the job well. They can keep us improving."
