Richard Madeley did not hold back on Monday's Good Morning Britain as he discussed the ongoing climate change protests on the M25.
In particular, he and co-host Susanna Reid spoke about the woman who was left paralysed by a stroke after the eco-protesters blocking the M25 delayed her son as he drove her to hospital.
Chris, her heartbroken son, said he was forced to watch his mother "slip away" while stuck in standstill traffic for six hours.
Speaking to former Green Party leader Natalie Bennett, Susanna said: "If Chris had got his mum to hospital, she could have been protected."

"I, of course, have the greatest sympathy for Chris and his mum, and I wish him and his mum all the best," Natalie replied, but Richard was having none of it.
"Big deal, that's not helping him is it? She's paralysed because she was stuck in traffic for six hours when she should have been in hospital getting blood thinners, and you offer your sympathies," he hit back.

"I don't think they want your sympathies, they want you to explain why you think it's reasonable to do that to another human being in the case of what you regard as the greater good."
Richard then fumed: "And I have to say, what comes off the people who are sitting on these motorways is the stench of self satisfaction and a complete ignorance of the pain and suffering and risk to life that their self satisfaction is causing.
"I don't think they want your sympathy, they want you to wake up and see what it is you're doing to private individuals."

Insulate Britain activists are demanding the government insulate all homes by 2025, starting with social housing.
Commuting chaos ensued last Friday when protesters wearing hi-vis jackets targeted Junction 3 at Swanley in Kent shortly after 8.30am.
The eco-protesters sat in the middle of the tarmac and a traffic jam quickly formed.
Several motorists lost their patience, and one man yelling at the group: "Go to work you lazy b******s."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
