Angry notices to dog owners have been stuck to 'every single tree' in park

Angry notices have been stuck to more than a dozen trees at a park in Trafford warning dog owners to pick up after their pets or risk having their faces posted on social media.

The A4 posters appeared at Willow Play Park on Higher Road in Urmston earlier this week.

They have been attached to at least 13 trees, as well as a number of telephone masts.

A photo posted on social media showed the laminated notices stuck to six trees on the edge of the park closest to the pavement and road.

It said they had been stuck to 'every single tree'.

They read: "Clean up after your dog as from now on you are all on camera.

"Your face will look great on Facebook.

"Also goes for them who leave it on the pavement."

Like in most boroughs, it is illegal for dog owners not to clean up after their pets.

A £50 Fixed Penalty Notice will be given to any owner who fails to comply with the law.

Non-payment can result in a prosecution and fine of up to £1,000.
