Angry I'm a Celeb fans claim Jordan North was 'robbed' as he misses out on castle crown

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Jordan North became a runner up in the 2020 series in Wales, narrowly losing out on the crown to Giovanna Fletcher.

Podcaster and author Giovanna, who is married to McFly star Tom Fletcher, was crowned the first ever Queen of the Castle on Friday's finale.

But many fans on Twitter were divided over whether she was the rightful winner, with some claiming Radio 1 presenter Jordan was "robbed".

Jordan won the hearts of many for his transformation during the series as he faced some of his worst phobias including heights and snakes, throwing up in terror on the very first episode.

He created his very own catchphrase when he chanted: "Happy place, happy place, Turf Moore" during trials to remind him of his favourite football ground.

And many viewers moaned that he should have won the whole series, with one tweeting: " @jordannorth1 should’ve won that hands down! He’s overcome so much in just 3 weeks & been entertaining every single night. He’s been robbed of his throne".

Another penned: "i’m actually so disappointed with the winner of #ImACeleb like i love gi but jordan hit more milestones and was so entertaining to watch too. he was robbed off the crown #ImACelebrity ".

A third remarked: "don’t get me wrong, i’m so happy for g and she deserves this she is so lovely, but i do feel a bit robbed of my king of the castle jordan north #ImACeleb ".

But others were delighted with Giovanna's win, especially as she said in her interview that she wanted to prove mums were strong and that being maternal did not mean you were weak.

One tweeted: "So happy Giovanna was crowned Queen of the Castle! She’s such a kind, positive, supportive & a genuine person! A worthy & deserved winner #imaceleb ".

"I really enjoyed this years #ImACeleb a bit different and a really lovely group of people. Would have been quite happy to see any of the top 3 win, but glad it was Giovanna. She was strong, caring, thouhtful, positive and a deserved winner in my eye," gushed another.
