'Angry' Holly Willoughby makes vow over Phillip Schofield following tough This Morning return

Holly Willoughby has vowed to make sure she never speaks about Phillip Schofield and his affair again.

The This Morning presenter returned to the show for the first time today, where she issued an emotional statement describing how she had felt "shaken, troubled and let down" by the revelations that had come out about her co-star.

She was supported by her friend Josie Gibson as she got emotional as she admitted it had been a lot to process. She explained that the show would go on and she, "Josie, Dermot, Alison, Craig and every single person that works on this show will continue to work hard every single day to bring you this show that we love".

Now sources have claimed that Holly is still angry at Phil for what has happened and has vowed to never mention it again.

A source told The Sun: "This is the only time Holly will ever speak about Phil and what has happened. She still feels incredibly angry and upset by his actions and is very much still trying to get her head around it.

"It took a lot for Holly to compose herself and speak about what has gone on in the last few weeks. But people expecting her to sit and pour her heart out will be waiting for a long time."

The insider added of Holly's feelings: "Holly is upset that Phil, who she believed to be a very close friend, lied to her about his affair. She is angry and that will take a long time for her to come to terms with."

Holly began her speech by explaining she has been left "full of questions" after the revelations over the past two weeks.

"I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have – shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what's been going on, and full of questions," she said.

"You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt they had to resign from ITV, and step down from a career that they loved. That's a lot to process."

She added: "And it's equally hard to see the toll that it's taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us now is a desire to heal for the health and wellbeing of everyone. I hope that, as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other."

Concluding her speech, she thanked fans for their kind messages and for being there that morning.
