Googlebox fans were left extremely unhappy tonight after a 'new' episode of the show turned out to be a rehash of previous episodes.
Viewers had been expecting to see a new episode of their favourite stars commenting on TV shows and films from the last week. However, they were served a "best bits" episode that basically replayed the most memorable scenes from the series.
The Channel 4 show kicked off with its narrator going back into the past and explaining everything that has happened so far. This led to some confusion, with fans questioning what was going on?

Some fans were thrown into a panic, believing this best bits episode was a sign that the series is over. Others asked if this meant new episodes would only come out again next year (2024).
Irritated fans raced to Twitter to express frustration and complain. One person described it as a crushing disappointment. @NBSkinner wrote: "Don't call it a NEW #Gogglebox if it's a rehash of previous episodes."
